Angele finished the first draft of her first novel in May 2004. After working diligently on revisions for more than a year, she decided to put that project on hiatus indefinitely. She's often read that many good writers have an early novel stashed away in a drawer where it rightly belongs. She's hoping that shelving her own early novel will bring her a little closer to attaining "good writer" status in the future. All the things she learned about writing in the two years she worked on the novel haven't hurt, either.

The decision to abandon that novel was not a hasty one. Though sometimes it's hard to say good-bye, Angele recovered quickly in this case and jumped right into Novel #2 in September 2005. That novel is just about ready to be submitted to agents and editors, and the first draft of her third novel - written in November, 2006 - is patiently awaiting its turn for revision.
